Oysters has no accounts and no passwords. You already have an identity on the AT Protocol network, and your submissions, comments and upvotes are records in your own repository โ this board only indexes them.
What happens next
- Your handle resolves to a DID, and the DID to the server hosting your repository.
- You are sent to that server to approve access. Oysters never sees your password, and the approval happens somewhere it does not control.
- It returns a token bound to a key held only by this server, so a stolen token is not enough to use on its own.
You can withdraw access from your own server at any time, and signing out here discards the token immediately.
